something we can all lay claim too
a miracle of nature
a gift
taken for granted
lost
in the fight for survival
and petty pursuits
a need
to be on top
to achieve
a position of power
the highest dollar amount
replace your neighbor
reap the bounty of another
though in the end
all we really have
is life then death
